Township Options
Queensland Transport has prepared possible options for accommodating the future rail upgrade within the townships of Mooloolah, Eudlo, Palmwoods and Woombye. The options address some of these issues and include opportunities to re-establish local road networks (including options for the removal of the level crossing at Mooloolah), station areas and the refinement of the Mooloolah River crossing.

As the preferred route does not change significantly from the existing rail alignment through Landsborough and Nambour, options have not yet been prepared for these towns, but will be included in the project’s EIS. There are also areas along the preferred route outside these town centres where options for the reinstatement of roads and private access are yet to be determined. The study team will keep landowners and the community informed of progress in these areas in the coming months. Queensland Transport is continuing to work with council and relevant government agencies regarding existing matters affected by the upgrade.
