The Landsborough to Nambour Rail Corridor Study

The Landsborough to Nambour Rail Corridor Study is an early phase of the Landsborough to Nambour Rail Project. The corridor study includes comprehensive community consultation, identification of a preferred route and preparation of an environmental impact statement for the project.

The Route Identification Report, released in April 2008, provides details of the preferred route for the project. Click here to find out more.

The environmental impact statement for the project assesses the environmental, social and economic impacts and proposes mitigation measures to manage these impacts where required. Click here to view the environmental impact statement.

The Landsborough to Nambour Rail Corridor Study will provide more certainty about the future development and land use of the areas surrounding the North Coast Line. By identifying the corridor requirements now, the Department of Transport and Main Roads is providing for the future needs of both rail users and the communities that surround the corridor.
