The Landsborough to Nambour Rail Corridor Study is an early phase of the Landsborough to Nambour Rail Project. The corridor study includes identification of a preferred route, comprehensive community consultation and preparation of an environmental impact statement for the project.

Environmental impact statement released

The Queensland Coordinator-General released the Landsborough to Nambour Rail Project Environmental Impact Statement for public comment in July. The public comment period closed on 24 August 2009.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is currently assessing the submissions made regarding the environmental impact statement and will prepare a supplementary report to address these. It is expected that the supplementary report will be finalised in early 2010.
